I haven't been to the Salty Iguana in a number of years, but since recently starting a new job in the area, thought I would give it a try. Wish I hadn't. I was disappointed from the chips and salsa, right down to the last bite of the third item I had tried and not enjoyed. When available, I always order a combo plate when trying a new place, or revisiting a place after a long time away. Today, I ordered a combo plate with a Cream Cheese Enchilada, a crispy ground beef taco and a tamale (pork) accompanied by the standard black beans and rice, with a whole lotta cheese melted over the top of everything. The chips tasted cheap, like day old, left out on the counter cheap and stale. The mild salsa was severely underwhelming in flavor, while the hot was slightly better. The ground beef taco was by far the best thing on my plate, but that's relative. I've had many tacos at other establishments that easily beat it in flavor. I was surprised by how much I disliked the Cream Cheese Enchilada, as it's supposed to be one of the restaurant's signature items. The tamale was passable, but not noteworthy. The rice and beans were, well, standard rice and beans. Maybe the margarita's are to die for? I'll never know. Won't be going back.

You can't beat this "feel good food" nor this GREAT 25th Anniversary DEAL!

Food was good and service was prompt. Salsa was awfully mild though. Fish tacos and street tacos were very good.

We love going here. Everyone is nice Kyle, Megan, Matt, Chris just to name a few that have waited on us over the years. The food is always good. Blue tacos are awesome.!!

Salsa and warm chips within 2 minutes of seating. Chris at the bar is awesome. My favorite after trying everything is iggy's hot pot. Indescribably delicious and enough for two.
