I recommend, highly!
Jennifer McAroy and her team have always been compassionate and enthusiastic to help. They've diagnosed some issues which needed follow up care with an orthodontist, which i never would have suspected at my age (44). My daughter had some teeth not growing in and lots of crowding on bottom at 9 years old. She was proactive and attentive as she and i discussed orthodontist in the area that deal with my daughter's specific issues. Finally, I've had some pretty horrible experiences in the past with previous dentists. I really keep gong to her and her team because they all have this great chairside manner - through crowns and molar extractions and basic checkups/ cleanings they put us at ease and never let me worry. My ten year old is far from afraid to go to the dentist (thank you, Lacey!).
I found The Village Dentist online and decided on the place because it was close and had great yelp reviews. My check-up was fine and the staff seemed nice. The check-up revealed some cavities and I scheduled a couple appointments to get them filled. I was provided with an estimate for the costs of the procedures and it wasn't too costly after insurance. I went in for the first appointment and got a couple cavities filled. I was provided with another estimate of cost for the procedure and it estimated almost complete coverage by insurance. I was asked to pay my bill which was basically my deductible plus another small fee on top of that. The following week ONE OF MY TEETH THAT I HAD FILLED HURT TERRIBLY and I had to come back in a week after my original filling and have them work on it to fix the issue. The next appointment I came in during the time and date the receptionist gave me (she wrote it down on a card and gave it to me previously) and yet when I arrived I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE WRONG DATE EVEN AFTER PRESENTING THE APPOINTMENT CARD I WAS GIVEN. I came back in for the second appointment and had the rest of my cavities filled. During the procedure, one of the spring/bracket tools they use in the operation slipped out of the dental assistants grip and NEARLY WENT DOWN MY THROAT AND CHOKED ME. I luckily caught it with the back of my tongue, swung my head up, and spit it out. That was a little terrifying. After my cavities had been filled, I was brought up to the front desk where I was given the good news. Guess what?? INSURANCE ISN'T GOING TO COVER YOUR FILLINGS. The reason was that using composite instead of silver for the filling of back teeth is considered a "cosmetic" procedure. When I was asked originally during my check-up if I would rather do silver or composite I asked what the cost difference would be. They told me "only like 10 or 20 bucks". Naturally I opted for the tooth colored composite and the difference ended up being HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!! They knew who my insurance provider was all along and it is a very common insurance provider! They gave me estimates all along implying that it would be covered. Yet, after all my fillings were done, then they dropped the news on me. I hung around at the front desk for some time in protest over this issue (although I should add that since their printers weren't working I couldn't get a print of my bill anyways..) At one point the receptionist said "EVERYONE BACK THERE KNOWS THAT COMPOSITES FOR YOUR BACK TEETH ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE, EVEN I KNOW THAT." So it seems that the dentist, dental assistants, and the receptionist all knew that this procedure would not be covered by insurance, and yet I was given false information all along implying that it would be covered, both through word of mouth and through numerous estimate statements provided. It makes me wonder if they do this on purpose. Perhaps they make more money off of the individual who gets tricked into paying out of pocket for a procedure instead of having their insurance provider cover the cost... I do not recommend this dentist.
Dr McAroy and staff are fantastic. I cannot say enough about their great care from front office all the way through. Dr M. found a problem with a tooth I've apparently had for years which was beginning to take a toll on my general health. She is aligned with other great dental specialists if you need more care. If anyone would have a problem with this office and their staff, it must be the patient themselves for this staff bends over backwards to help in any way they can.
Also, if there is any doubt, I would be happy to provide proof that this is a real, honest review from a recent patient.

I'd highly recommend. Been a customer for almost ten years.
I was originally quoted under $200 for all the dental work and after all the fillings had been done I found out that I would be paying about $500 (hopefully not more than that). The reason for this is because my insurance downgrades composites for back teeth to the price of a silver filling, but does not cover the cost past this point (because they consider it a cosmetic procedure.) So the difference in price was: silver filling - insurance covers procedure and I pay very little vs. composite filling - insurance reduces price to silver filling but doesn't cover procedure. This is a big deal when you have several fillings done!
Always a great experience . Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. The office is very up to date and high tech. They also offer a wide range of dental procedures. Two thumbs up!!!
I have had a few things done, so far with Dr. McAroy and she is pleasant every time I am there. My daughter also sees her, and Dr. McAroy is so good with her. Dental work is expensive, no matter where you go, but, I know I am in good hands, as is my family, when we are there.
