I love the French Market here. I go for the dentist, but always make a stop at the French Market. They have the best croissants in town; so buttery and flaky.
Cozy shopping in a very nice neighborhood. Great for coffee or a light lunch. Major retailers are also near.
I stopped in at the Hen House in at the Village. It's a great store that fresh flowers and pumpkins out front. Loved it.
The Village is one of the coolest little pedestrian shopping plazas anywhere in the area. It's located in the heart of Prairie Village, but you don't need to be a local to have a wonderful day there! You can't beat the ambience of all the great restaurants, along with a wonderful grocery, lots of cute little boutiques, coffee shops, bars, liquor store, pet stores, hardware stores; lots of different services - if you need it, you can probably find it in the Village! It's a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon of casual shopping! The entire layout of the area is so well-maintained and simply beautiful.
It's like a miniature version of the Country Club Plaza except with lots of great Mom and Pop shops. Parking can be a challenge around the holidays though.
