Kind of an older Hy-Vee. Not as clean as many other I've been to as a consequence. No liquor or wine (Due to Kansas State law?). First employee was unaware if the store carried wine and had to check with a more seasoned worker. Over all, very willing to help if approached.
Clean, stocked, safe, quality store. The customer service is great. My only 2 small problems/questions are: 1) Why does the breezeway entry feel and look like a prison? Shouldn't there be coin operated horses, tattoo machines, soda machines and flowers I'll never buy? 2) Why would you design a store so perfectly, however once you install the floorplan, your wide aisles happen to have columns in the way- which is completely defeating the purpose of having wide aisles!!
The meat counter lady told us it is only avilable "cold" and we could heat it in microwave at home. Looked in the cold area she "pointed" to only to find nothing there. We bought hamburger and buns instead. We tried to tell cashier of this disappointment and she only said (in a "Why should I care" tone), "sorry, I'm not a manager.
Nice store and very convenient. Only downside is the high food tax rates in KS.
I love this store! The demographics must be just right to hit all the products my wife likes that the stores closer to home don't. Thankfully this is on the way home.
Not good. Bait and switch advertising. The 1.5 lbs of chicken wings with 1.5 lbs of their special fries is not even avilable at this store.
